Ferrari driver, Sebastian Vettel, managed to beat Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and his first victory of the season at the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday (03/26/2017).
Vettel started the race at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit, Albert Park, from the second starting position, while Hamilton into pole-position.
Vettel overtook Hamilton after the first pit stop. He maintained the advantage and eventually won the first victory with Ferrari since the Singapore GP in 2015.
The turning point for Vettel came after Hamilton slid into the pit and return to the track without ever again return to the forefront.
These results became the fourth victory of Vettel with Ferrari, after his first season with the Prancing Horse is marked with three victories (2015) while last season passed without a win.
Vettel's victory ended the winning streak Mercedes in Australian GP in three consecutive seasons (Hamilton in 2015, and Nico Rosberg in 2014 and 2016).
