The most speeding Corvette was introduced by Callaway Competition at the Hockenheimring in Germany. however this Corvette was only introduced as a race car.
Corvette is built on the 7th generation Vette, as a replacement for Z06.R GT3 race car.
Crafted largely out of carbon fiber, the GT3-R gets a full body kit that includes a deep front bumper with a splitter, massive fender flares, a huge air diffuser out back and a sizable trunk-mounted spoiler. A small hatch lets the driver escape through the roof in the event of an emergency.
The cockpit has been stripped of all unnecessary equipment in order to keep weight in check. It gains a digital instrument cluster, a carbon fiber dashboard, and a rectangular multi-function steering wheel. The GT3-R is also fitted with a full FIA-compliant roll cage
Big power reaches 600 horsepower, obtained thanks to the 6.2 liter V8 engine as it was developed to meet FIA rules and regulations, rear wheels with a transmission X-Trac 6 speed sequential transmission with paddle-shift technology, and according to Callaway, the car surpassed its predicted performance.
Corvette's toughness race car is said to actually be seen next year. The car is ready to challenge Porsche, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Ferrari, and Aston Martin.
The brand new, FIA GT3-approved, ready-to-race C7 GT3-R is the result of two years of comprehensive planning, intensive development and expert fabrication of vehicle components. Furthermore, it was sketched by Canadian designer Paul Deutschman (responsible for many great-looking rides).
This Corvettes will make its first official premier on the racing track beginning with 2016, competing with the world’s fastest GT cars in a variety of racing series worldwide.
